About Satin Jackets
Formed in 2012 Satin Jackets is the brainchild of German producer Tim Bernhardt. Having enjoyed success through the late 90s and 00s producing house music under a variety of different aliases, Tim launched Satin Jackets as a vehicle to finally explore his lifelong love of disco.

Inspired by the clean productions of artists like CHIC and studio genius Trevor Horn, Tim set to reintroduce that polish and sheen back into the modern disco scene. “I had always been fascinated by how glossy people like Nile Rogers made their music,” Tim explains. “It always sounded like the musical equivalent of a fashion magazine’s cover. I’d been making more underground music for a while but really wanted to go in totally the other direction and create a really smooth, polished sound.”

The result was ‘You Make Me Feel Good’, a sublimely laidback slice of Balearic House that introduced Satin Jackets to the world. Released on storied Belgian label Eskimo Recordings, who had previously helped launch the careers of artists like Aeroplane and Lindstrom, the single quickly established Tim as one to watch amongst the thriving nu-disco scene.

Yoi Toki is all about celebrating the sounds of Future Funk, a genre that blends retro anime aesthetics, the grooves of 70s Disco, Funk and Japanese City Pop, with modern electronic music production techniques. Emerging around the 2010s, this sound is designed for the dancefloor – a mix of past and present, creating a unique feel-good, upbeat, and energetic experience.

If you love artists like Yung Bae, Night Tempo, Macross 82-99, Vantage, Desired, Moe Shop, Mikazuki Bigwave, Melonade, Saint Pepsi and more, you already know the vibe.

Sworn enemy of the genre police, Essenger spawned into the metaverse in 2018,
becoming the ultimate nexus to unite fans of retrowave, hip hop, and electronic dance music.
With lyrics ranging from emotive anthems to sci- plots, his formidable powerhouse of
synths and infectious vocal hooks and are no match for the alternative music scene.
Essenger signed with independent label FiXT Neon in 2020 with his debut album After Dark,
followed by various Monstercat collaborations and setting the stage to bring his live act into

virtual reality and perhaps soon, a city near you.
